Job Description:
A successful, well established designer and manufacturer of testing equipment, seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their New York area Headquarters and Manufacturing facility. This company has enjoyed solid growth in recent years as a result of their cutting edge technology, and distributes their products globally.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for conducting and leading the development of complex analog and digital hardware from concept through production. In addition, the successful candidate will develop project schedules, coordinate Integrated Product Team activities, track subsystem technical status (mechanical, electrical, software) and coordinate activities with senior management. Some exposure to Systems Engineering is also helpful, as it will facilitate identifying and specifying the overall design approach to be taken, as well as requirement creation and design documentation.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 10 years board-level analog and digital circuit design (power and electronics interfacing), especially with high frequency circuits. Also, it is essential that the candidate have a strong current technical background in the following related areas:
--Transmission line signal movement
--Pulse detection and measurement
--Measurement of AC resisteance/ complex impedance
--Amplification of high-frequency signals
A Bachelor’s Degree is also a must. Exposure to Ultrasound or Ultrasonic testing is a +, but not required. Travel is light (less than 15%), and limited relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate.
