Job Description:

Growing Biotech Company, with robust pipeline of clinical and early stage biologics seeks Intellectual Property Counsel for strategic management of IP portfolio.

Company seeks a proactive attorney with ability to develop and implement plan for IP portfolio.  Candidate must have vision with the knowledge on how the IP group should run while strategically working to attain company goals.

Responsibilities will include, (but not be limited to):

• Interaction with R&D, Business Development and Senior Management teams.
• Supervising outside counsel and chemical patent agents and developing/coordinating the overall Pharmaceutical IP strategy. 
• Provide analysis of relevant prior art and strategic evaluation of and counseling on inventions and records of invention.
• Advising senior management on any IP issues.
• Freedom to operate; collaboration and licensing agreements; opinions and litigation support.

Requirements:
JD with admission to at least one State Bar and registered with the USPTO. Demonstrated experience working in an array of IP related responsibilities, which should include preparation and prosecution of patents in the U.S.  MUST have background in the pharmaceutical or biotech field, with strong preference for work relating to antibody technology.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written a must. Able to work with all levels utilizing outstanding people skills. An proactive-take charge person with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
