RELATIONSHIP MANAGER/COMMODITY FINANCE

Job Description:
Relationship manager responsible for marketing to commodity related companies, sourcing deals with such companies, preparing and presenting credit proposals to ACD (Americas Credit Division), executing transactions, monitoring the credits, cross-selling other bank products (including traditional trade finance and commodity derivatives), and otherwise managing client relationships. Goal is to build a portfolio of clients in Commodity Finance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1.) General: Market clients, develop structures, analyze risk, analyze financials, prepare proposals, present proposals, monitor clients, cross-sell other bank products, train junior members, sell the merits of commodity finance internally, follow commodity markets, be creative, push for approvals while exhibiting patience, attend commodity conferences, help management build a business.
2.) Administrative: Assure that all administrative responsibilities specific to the business and to are satisfied. Work very closely – side by side – with Risk & Collateral Control Group within Commodity Finance to make sure monitoring is rigorous.
3.) Policy: Responsible for helping team in communicating the underlying risks of Commodity Finance to senior management and to ACD along with appropriate strategy, criteria, and procedures for building and maintaining a portfolio of commodity trading clients.
4.) Technical Skills Required: Ability to: properly analyze the financials of a trading company; understand how traders hedge price risk and counterparty risk.
