This position supports the company’s product in a pre-sale role. The product is a high-speed data management solution for ETL, data warehousing, BI, and other mission-critical applications. The product replaces long-running processes so applications run faster. This can save many hours, even days, especially when processing large amounts of data. For UNIX, Windows, and Linux, integrates disparate data from multiple, heterogeneous sources. It transforms and aggregates the data at high speed to create consolidated views for reporting, analysis, or other downstream applications.
The Professional Services Engineer is responsible for providing pre-sales support prospects and customers. The work is generally performed at the company’s corporate offices, but extensive travel to prospects' sites may be required. The candidate should have experience in a customer facing role and must be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills.
The ideal candidate will be located near Northern New Jersey; however, we will consider relocation for the right candidate.
The responsibilities of a Professional Services Engineer include:
- Pre-Sales support, including
- providing Product demonstrations onsite and through webcasts
- assisting sales representatives with exploratory calls
- analysis of existing data processing environments
- design and implementation of Proof of Concept applications with the Product
- Product training and discussions about best practices for Product usage
- Projects to enhance or fix the Product
Requirements:
BS Comp Science or related field (3.2 GPA or higher); Advanced degree desirable; Willingness to perform extensive travel (50%).
