Job Description:
One of the world’s largest engineering and project delivery firms, servicing the global resource, energy and infrastructure markets is currently seeking a Senior Substation Engineer. The global engineering giant provides engineering, procurement, construction management, program management and consultancy services to clients in the Hydrocarbons, Power, Minerals and Metals and Infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities include: Develop detailed design deliverables for switchyard and substation systems including, one/three line diagrams, schematics, construction packages; Support proposal development efforts; Develop protective relay settings for high voltage systems with the support of in-house experts when necessary. |

Requirements |
||
Applicant must be be a degreed electrical engineer with 5-10 years design experience in substation design, physical layout, protective relaying and equipment procurement. Familiarity with CAD programs is prefered but not required. PE license highly desired with the ability to become registered in California. Applicant must be a resourceful self-starter able to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Must have good written and oral communications skills a proactive attitude and be open to occasional travel or short-term out-of-town assignments. |
