Job Description:

There has been significantly increased deal flow out of AFPD/Project Finance in the past 3 years.  The group has been built out, and has achieved notable success (ranked No. 1 in Project Finance arrangement in the Americas for 2007).  Areas of focus include Oil and Gas, infrastructure, power, and renewable energies.   We seek to enhance our distribution capacity in these areas, as well as to gear up for expected increase in Latin American arrangement opportunities arising out of Sao Paolo and Mexico City office upgrades.   From time to time, we also see opportunities in leading or co-leading financings for U.S. corporations.

We are interested in a staff member, VP or SVP level that has syndication and sales experience in project finance, both for investor coverage and client presentations.  The position entails involvement in origination process, pricing/syndication strategy, underwriting and investor coverage.  Some previous corporate finance experience or syndication experience in U.S. corporate deals would be helpful.   Ability to understand some Spanish or Portuguese is a positive factor, but is not required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) General:

• Keep up with capital market trends/developments;
• Placement of mandated agent transactions to investor base;
• Maintenance of retail investor base – commercial bank and institutional;
• Underwriting decisions/issuance of underwriting letters;
• Assist in structuring transactions and bidding process;
• Assist in presentations of syndicated loan transactions to Bank clients;
• Assist in secondary loan sale/purchases.

2) Administrative

• Assist in submission of monthly underwriting report;
• Assist in profit tracking reports.

3) Technical Skills Required

• Extensive sales contacts and track record in selling project finance deals
• Strong credit/analytical skills;
• Loan structuring, pricing and documentation knowledge
