Job Description:

Our client, located in Westchester, New York, 30 miles outside of New York City, is a medical device company focused on the design and development of non-invasive, point-of-care instruments to help physicians identify melanoma at an early stage. We offer a competitive salary and a complete benefits package as well as a full relocation package.  Currently we have a select opening for an Optical Engineer, an electro-optical engineer who is specializing in designing, preferably thermally stable VIS-NIR imagers and/or their components. The successful candidate will be responsible for choosing, engaging and guiding external development groups in order to achieve goals:

The candidate must be a pro in at least one of the following areas:

• VIS and NIR imager design
• Thermally stable optical solutions (optics and mechanics)
• Optically reflective and transmissive materials (targets)
• Illumination sources
• Must have experience in designing successful high-end electro-optical imagers that were mass produced in quantities of 50+
• Must have a very solid approach to imager characteristics and measurements and the ideal candidate   
• Must be an inventor with reliable engineering solutions and have experience working with vendors an external providers.
